Family

Christmas has come and gone along with the year 2008. However neither has left unnoticed and both have left their mark on all of us.

We gained the neatest DAUGHTER in law in June! We are feeling EXTREMELY blessed. Garrett has really picked a wonderful bride. Not only is she pretty on the outside, but she is gorgeous on the inside.

Leslie and I went a rescue mission and brought home way to many mini horse in February. Most of which have had babies in the late fall. Which brings our total of horses to 14. Way to many! My goal is to go down to 4 or 5 in the spring. Although the babies have been fun most of them will be going. Dad has had enough. Treasure however will stay! She and Carmel (Mikaela's) horse are the only two guaranteed a home here.

Home came Kathlen, Jon and last, but really first baby Brett for Christmas. Brett certainly warmed his Grandpa's heart. Grandpa just could not get enough of his grandson. Of course Brett had everyone in the palm of his hand. Heather is still having Baby Boo withdrawals.

It was wonderful to have them home and sad to see them go. Especially knowing it will be at least another 6 months before we will see them again. Dad and Brad took them to the plane in Seattle and got stuck in Seattle a day longer than planned due heavy snow on the pass. When they made a run for home it did not look very promising. But home they did come without a problem.

Kathlen says that since their trip home Brett is talking up a storm. And is trying to talk in sentences.

Dad bought me a N scale train for Christmas. But we know who he really bought it for. Brett had a great time watching it going around and around.

I am moving forward with getting my back fixed and then my right knee. Maybe by 2010 the doctors will have put me back together again.

To all have a great YEAR!
